We support performance! CS Atletico Slănic - double champion of Romania

On 2nd and 3rd of July 2022, the National Championship for Juniors category 1 (U20) took place on the Cluj Arena stadium. The athletes from CS Atletico Slănic, led by coach Gheorghe Mușat and teachers Maria Andrei and Florin Andrei, had an exceptional evolution, obtaining two titles of Champions of Romania and a silver medal.
The first gold medal was obtained by Ioana Rebecca Andrei. After a sensational race in the 400 m race, with a time of 55.15 seconds, she crossed the finish line first and became the Champion of Romania. With this special result, Rebecca Andrei qualified to the U20 World Championship, which will take place in the city of Cali in Colombia, at the beginning of August.
The second gold medal was obtained by the mixed relay 4 x 400 m, with a time of 3 minutes and 41 seconds. The performance was achieved by the National Champions Ruben Chivi, Bianca Stoica, Rebecca Ioana Andrei and Alexandru Blănaru.
The silver medal was obtained by Darius Cornescu in the 100 m race, with a time of 10.99 seconds. The vice-champion of Romania has double legitimation CSS Ploiești & CS Atletico Slănic.
The three leaders of the Club have implemented a medium and long term project, which offers Prahova athletes the chance to do performance sports in decent conditions in Slănic after graduation of high school, thus stopping the departure of valuable athletes to other teams in the country, after junior years.
