MaxBet is awarded for the involvement and social responsibility in the largest CSR competition in Romania

MaxBet's efforts to select, finance and carry out social responsibility activities that bring a real change in society were recognized on the open stage in the largest profile competition in Romania - Romanian CSR Awards. The competition is at its seventh edition, and an independent jury has selected and scored the best social responsibility campaigns carried out during 2019.

MaxBet won second place in the category ”Employee Support” for the project ”Champions in good deeds”. The first place was obtained by CEZ Romania through the project ”Good Generators”, while the third place was Telekom Romania - through the project ”Cool Telekom 2019”. The jury took into account the way in which each company chose to involve its employees in saving lives, changing destinies and creating new standards of social responsibility.

The Romanian CSR Awards jury considered that the MaxBet project is innovative and proves a real concern for employees and their involvement in the community. The organizers also noted that this is the first time that a company in the field of gambling operators has taken the stage reserved for champions.

”We are sure that if we had met earlier, the project ”Champions in good deeds” would have earned our attention and respect much earlier. Because this project already has its own history and can inspire other companies, it can easily be taken over and implemented by other companies that want to inspire their employees” , said Lacramioara Botezatu, founder of the Romanian CSR Awards competition.

The competition jury included, among others, Sergiu Voicu (Digi24 journalist), Florin Ghinda (founder of the RomaniaPozitiva.ro platform), Gabriela Fistis (sustainable development specialist), Raluca Buturca (sustainable development expert) and Cristian China-Birta (blogger).

Romanian CSR Award is the largest competition in which Romanian companies are awarded for their involvement and social responsibility activities. The first edition was in 2013. Within the competition there are multiple categories in which are rewarded projects carried out on social media, community support campaigns, projects focused on education, environment, related marketing and health.
