MaxBet Internal Football Championship 2017

The year 2017 could not pass without MaxBet employees getting involved in volunteer actions.

The internal Football Championship has reached its fifth consecutive edition this year.

The 34 participating teams managed to earn together 169,000 lei, the money representing the sponsorships for approximately 17 social cases.

The fourth edition also had a premiere. All matches could be watched live on the MaxBet Football Championship Facebook page, the scores being updated in real time.

Another premiere was the lack of serious injuries, a sign that our volunteers chose the purpose instead of the competition. Let's not forget that this year each red card received by the team was a cash penalty.

For two weekends, our colleagues fought each other but also with the capricious weather to win the grand prize. All in the hope that most of the money will go to the cause they support.

In the end, the first place team, A-SEDIU, decided to collect their winnings with three other teams: PREMIUM TEAM, FC AVANTAJ and NO NAME.

Thus, the amount of 33,250 lei contributed to support the case of a seriously ill girl.

Six other teams gathered their forces, and the amount they collected, worth 20,750 lei, went to the MagiCamp Association. FCM STARS, MARINARII, LAKE RIDERS, DANUBIAN RIDERS, MAXFUN UNITED and DRISTOR TEAM made it possible to support the medical costs of two children diagnosed with rare and difficult forms of cancer.

The rest of the money went, in 2017, to the Concordia Children's Home from Ploiesti, ANCAAR Craiova Association, St. Sava Foundation from Buzau, but also to support children with serious health problems, from a baby's malformation on the brain, to sick children of leukemia.

It was a close competition, but solidarity and goodwill were above all as always. We hope that next year we will hear even more good news and surprises, together with our colleagues without which the Internal Football Championship would not take place.
