The SUUB heliport, sponsored entirely by MaxBet, has recorded 491 landings since opening

We strongly believe that health is an essential pillar of a thriving community, which is why we constantly invest in modern medical infrastructure, state-of-the-art equipment and projects that directly benefit patients and healthcare professionals.

An outstanding example of our commitment in this area and one of our most heartfelt projects is the Heliport of the University Emergency Hospital Bucharest (SUUB), whose construction was fully sponsored by MaxBet in 2019.

From its inauguration on 3 December 2019 until 20 May 2024, the SUUB Heliport has recorded 491 landings. SMURD helicopters have brought patients from cities such as Galati, Craiova, Braila, Tulcea and Constanta, demonstrating the strategic importance of this heliport in the medical emergency network in Romania.

The heliport allows rapid access to top medical services for patients in more remote regions, significantly reducing the intervention time and increasing the chances of survival in critical cases.

Bucharest University Emergency Hospital is recognised for its outstanding medical performance, particularly in the field of cardiology. SUUB hosts one of the first units in Romania dedicated to stroke and neurovascular emergencies.

This year, the number of newborns transported by helicopter to the SUUB has also increased, underlining the vital role of the helipad in saving the lives of the smallest patients. Airlifting babies significantly reduces the time it takes for them to receive essential care and be connected to the advanced equipment available at the SUUB. In critical neonatal cases, every minute counts and the helipad provides a fast and efficient solution for the safe transport of tiny patients.
