The leader of the Romanian gambling industry, a new investment in equipping the Bucharest University Emergency Hospital

MaxBet, the leading company in the slot machine industry in Romania, continues the series of investments in the development of health infrastructure in the public sector. The most recent contribution, amounting to 500.000 lei, was directed towards the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment for minimally invasive orthopedic surgery. The new project is one of the initiatives carried out by MaxBet in partnership with the University Emergency Hospital of Bucharest, a facility in which the company has so far invested over 6.8 million lei.

With the commissioning of the new arthroscope, the University Emergency Hospital of Bucharest expands its capabilities for minimally invasive surgery on joint disorders. Arthroscopy can replace traditional operations, thus reducing the length of hospitalization and recovery time for patients. The purchase of the high-performance equipment was financed by MaxBet, in support of the efforts of the management of the Emergency Hospital of the Capital to ensure the highest level of medical services here.

"We invest in health, in education, in social causes, but above all we invest in people. This new project, in partnership with the Emergency Hospital, is further proof of the trust we place in the professionalism of Romanian doctors. This is an area where we have excellence in human resources and we are proud to be able to contribute with the right tools. The public-private partnership has given us the framework to get involved financially and, although we have so far invested more than 19 million lei in the Romanian health system, we know that the impact of a quality medical act for thousands of patients every year is invaluable. As we have done over the last 20 years, we remain open to getting involved in any initiative that has an impact on the life of the community", said Cătălin Nichifor, Administrator MaxBet Romania.

Securing the necessary funds for the purchase of medical equipment is just the company's latest investment in modernizing the Emergency Hospital. During the 11 years of partnership, MaxBet has also contributed to the fitting out and equipping of the radiotherapy sector, as well as to the rehabilitation of the food block. Within the same hospital, the company fully financed the construction of the only heliport in the capital to international standards, which allows emergency landing of medical transport flights, including at night, an investment amounting to € 1 million.

With over 20 years of activity on the local market, MaxBet is a leader in the slot machine industry. The company currently employs over 1,300 people across the country and is one of the most important contributors both to the state budget and in supporting social initiatives.
