MaxBet is systematically involved in actions with impact at all social levels. One important action in which MaxBet participated with a sponsorship of 50,000 lei is the first edition of the Transylvania Cystic Fibrosis Conference, which took place from February 4th to 5th, 2023, in Cluj-Napoca.

The conference was organized for both medical personnel involved in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring the disease, as well as for parents and relatives of patients affected by this condition.

It was a special occasion to improve communication between specialized physicians from various medical disciplines (pediatrics, pulmonology, surgery, ENT, family medicine, psychology), as well as the communication between individuals diagnosed with this disease, their families, and medical professionals involved in cystic fibrosis treatment.

The event included topics such as:

• Diagnosis and diagnostic challenges
• Basic protocol in cystic fibrosis
• Complexity of treatment in cystic fibrosis (mucoviscidosis)
• Physiotherapy and its importance in disease treatment
• The role of Respiratory Clearance in patients with mucoviscidosis
• Therapeutic journey in cystic fibrosis from TOBI to Trikafta
• Surgical aspects of digestive impairment and surgical pulmonary complications in children diagnosed with cystic fibrosis
• Clinical diagnosis and therapeutic aspects of ENT involvement in patients with mucoviscidosis
• Nutrition in respiratory diseases
• The connection between specialty doctors and family doctors, monitoring patients with cystic fibrosis in family medicine centers
• Psychological support for children with chronic diseases and their families
• Assistance provided by educational institutions to children with rare chronic diseases

Renowned lecturers from both the country and abroad participated in the conference, such as MD Hossein Sadeghi, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at CUMC, Director of the Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Center Pediatric Pulmonary Sleep Medicine, USA, and Dr. Golnar Raissi, Pediatric Pulmonology, Naturopath Medicine, USA.
