Sponsorship for Odyssey of the Mind

Because we always put education first, we get involved in sponsoring projects in the field of activity. We are proud every time we can support the creativity and hard work of young people, thus helping them to evolve personally and professionally.

In 2016, MaxBet sponsored the PHYSIS 3 Foundation with the amount of 15,000 lei in order to organize the Odyssey of the Mind contest and to participate in Eurofest 2016 in Gdansk, Poland.

The PHYSIS-3 Foundation was founded by high school teachers and aims to organize educational activities. One of them is the Odyssey of the Mind contest, a contest in which Romania participates only through this foundation.

Odyssey of the Mind is a creativity contest adresses to young people of all ages. The educational program offers long-term problems and spontaneous problems, which promote creativity in thinking but also its application. Eurofest is the European final of the competition and is organized as a unique intercultural experience.

In 2016, the students of the Mihai Viteazul National College from Bucharest were the ones who participated in the contest. The team had to choose a ”problem” from the list provided by the organizers and to work for two months on solving it, through a unique construction or a play.

After the competition’s final, in Gdansk, the Romanian team returned home with 2 prizes, 1st place and 3rd place.
